View official link here. This event was essentially a reality runway show...with a full range of top shelf...and not so top shelf..reality stars! I was delighted to be there. I mean, come on, the idea of shooting Janice Dickinson, self-proclaimed "first super model," was definitely exhilarating. Here I was, 4'11, in a room surrounded by amazon women! Every time I turned my head, there was a reality tv star to be seen...Among the stars I photographed were: Real Housewives of New York, I Love New York, America's Next Top Model and "The Queen of Rap," Lil Kim. This was an event I was very proud to attend and contribute to...after all, it was for a great cause and a % of the proceeds went to the AIDS Organization. Fashion & Bringing Awareness to World Wide Issues = Beautiful Thing! Behind the Scenes America's Next Top Model This was a pretty cool moment for me...considering I actually used to watch America's Next Top Model for photo tips and specifically remember these two. I'm a fan, to say the least! Some Real House Wives Action... The First Super Model It was later rumored to be that Janice walked off with $20,000 worth of jewelry ...BAD JANICE1 Catwalk.
Elliott Evan's collection was the first collection I shot of Fashion Week...although there were a few challenges along the way such as: owning my spot in the photo pit, crowded aisles, getting around the fact that Evan's covered the faces of each model... and so on and so forth, for the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed his show..I identified with his collection..it was somewhat nostalgic of my days playing Mortal Kombat in my basement, along with a photo shoot I had with the respected photog, Steve Azzara. (please see below)
His collection was fresh and interesting and intriguing to say the least...I look forward to what this artist has to bring us in the near future! There's nothing more beautiful than the female form...and with Halloween coming up, I think it would be super fun to combine my two favorite things: skulls & nudity. If that doesn't scream festive, I don't know what does! The series would be Dia de los Muertos themed...I'm intrigued to see which part of the body would be more focused on..the over-sexualized and erotic parts which are exploited all throughout the media or the artwork...ANY TAKERS?
Anniversary coming up? Edible Arrangements/blow job just not cutting it anymore? Book a shoot with me for it will be the gift that keeps on giving! One shoot will guarantee you 200+ photos which you can make into personalized cards and more! Imagine being able to give your significant other a new artsy photo of yourself each and every year that you are together? Talk about turning things up a notch!
*Also makes for a great holiday card Although there is such beauty within the simplicity of a black and white photograph...I find myself most excited about the construction aspect of it all... manipulating a photo into an artwork. Even if I am tweaking a piece slightly, for example: Inverting. Something about being given the time to play around with an image... turning it into something much grander, taking it to a place it was never initially supposed to go, is very exciting to me.
